www.VitalComputerServices.Info -- Direct Mail Programmer

I have been programming direct mail projects for over 20 years, I started out on Main Frames in California,
when I moved back to Chicago I went to CDI for my certificates in programming, databases, business systems and computr room management.
I started out as a production technician programming on mainframes using JCL, DITTO, DYL280, QuikJob and Group1's marketing
suite that included List Conversion, CODE1, Merge-Purge PLUS, MailStream PLUS, Gen Select and Group1's Ink Jet Label maker.

From there I moved onto the UNIX platform (SCO, XENIX, SUN) where I learned to install group1's software for UNIX, I learned to develop scripts
to wrap around commercial software, to create Tools to manage data, extract data, manipulate data and to prep data before
any major processing. I became familiar with merge purge processing including duplicate elimination, donotcall lists, donotmail lists,
donotemail list and use them as suppression files, I also became familiar with multi- buyer tagging and extraction.

I mastered the processing of first class mail, bulk mail and periodicals, I also learned drop shipping within the the Postal system (scf, bmc's).
I understand the CASS process (Coding, Accuracy Support systems), address corrections, address standardization, zipcode correction, zip+4
appending, postal barcode processing delivery point barcode.

I became familiar with inkjetting, bulk personalization, laser printing, continous feed printing, laser sheet printing. I worked on many big name projects
including - Willow Creek Ministries, The American Medical Association, Republic Bank, The American Cancer Society, all three credit bureaus and just about every
industry that has used direct mail as a marketing tool.

My experience programming special requests and difficult preprocess challenges includes working with Visual Basic, Visual Dot Net, Visual FoxPro, dBase III and many other computer languages.
I have also programmed business application too many to list, most of my was with a varied list of databases including, foxpro, MS ACCESS, MS SQL Server, MySQL.

I have worked on very difficult projects as well as very complex projects some lasting several months to 2 years.
